I have been on a journey of trying to feel better for some years. After I had my first baby I realized I was very unwell well before having him, it was brushed off as motherhood and I pushed through. I kept trying to learn and do more, but using social media as guidance was overwhelming. This program organized things in a way where I felt I had a starting point and a road to follow. I had tried to go to my doctor with my symptoms but was always brushed off because my most of my basic labs were "normal". Once I started working with Christina and we got to see my labs I felt so validated. Having access to a functional RD was invaluable after years of medical gas lighting. I started when my first was 3.5 and second was 4 months and though it was overwhelming at first as the brain fog got better things were easier to accomplish. I am very thankful to have come across aloha nutrition, if you're trying to decide, do it, it's worth it!

Allegra was GREAT! She answered quick once I put filled out the contact info online. She scheduled a visit for me within a couple of days. She was so supportive at my in home meet, and answered all my questions. Allegra is passionate about what she does, and very knowledgeable. I am grateful she passed along her knowledge. After having my first baby nursing was excruciatingly painful. We contacted Allegra and she was able to help us get his latch better, and gave us some tips and tricks to heal faster so that it was less painful. she discovered his lip tie- and referred us to a specialist to help get it released. I went from sobbing and screaming in pain every time I would nurse to actually being able to fall asleep because it was so much less painful.
She is an absolute gem. Even if all you can do is a virtual visit it’s worth it!

Allegra has been very helpful to me as I navigate a new situation in breastfeeding. I have breastfed 3 of my children already for 1+ years, but have a new situation with my son who is a low tone baby who has not latched well in his first two weeks of life. I am primarily pumping all my breast milk and feeding it to him via bottle. Allegra has offered different suggestions to me than were offered in hospital by other LC’s. She has helped me to create a care plan to get as much breast milk out via pump as possible, manage flares of engorgment/ mastitis, and keep my baby interested in the breast should we be able to get him to effectively latch again one day. I would definitely recommend Allegra’s services! Thank you!

When I say that Allegra saved my breast feeding journey, that is no exaggeration. I was told to “give up” because I had a “lazy feeder” multiple times by other professionals. My infants severe tongue tie went undiagnosed by said professionals which severely impacted my milk supply. When I started working with Allegra, we uncovered her tongue tie and worked together before and after the release to get her latching. Allegra helped me get properly fitted with the correct flange size, and she used a multifaceted approach that combined education, nutrition, and hands on support that allowed me to continue to successfully breast feed my baby. Before working with Allegra I was pumping about 5oz a day. Now I have a full and very normal supply and no longer have to supplement my baby. It’s now 6 months later and I am still breast feeding her. The joy in my heart that breast feeding has brought me would not be possible without Allegra. She is a true gift to the breast feeding community. I am so thankful she takes insurance as well, I was so lucky to be able to work with her!!

Allegra has been amazing! She came to my house and assessed both of us and changed my mind from giving up breast feeding to continuing to work on it. We finally got it down, but with the many questions and anxiety I’ve had, she has also been available via chat. She always is so reassuring and gives sound advice with links available. I definitely would not have made it these 5 weeks without her! I’d recommend her to anyone because it is such a difficult time to be learning anything new and with new babies of her own, she totally understands all the struggles. She’s been super helpful and accommodating!!

Allegra is a God send! I just had my 3rd baby and desperately wanted to breastfeed. My first two wouldn’t latch and I felt like I tried everything. This time around I found Allegra and met with her before delivery to start. She helped me be more prepared for when I was in the hospital and then in the follow up appointments after delivery I FINALLY got our baby to latch. I’m almost in tears writing this I’m so happy, I didn’t think it was possible especially since I had breast reduction surgery. I can’t thank her enough for her support, patience and guidance as I navigate feeding my newest little one - this is such a blessing to me!

I can’t recommend Allegra’s lactation consultancy highly enough! I’m a FTM and reached out, panicked, when I realized my milk supply was delayed. Allegra’s calm and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly thorough, had answers to all my questions and set me up with the tools and resources I needed to encourage my supply to come in and continue in my breastfeeding journey successfully. Since our consult, my milk has come in and my son has gained 30 grams a day exclusively breastfeeding. If it wasn’t for Allegra, I really may have given up out of fear and anxiety. I’m feeling so much more confident now and SO grateful to have this special time with my baby.
